- The State of Illinois shuts down a ski resort, alleging required inspections weren’t completed prior to opening. In a statement, Snowstar apologizes to season passholders and says an inspector failed to show up. At least one lift will reopen today.

Montana Snowbowl’s new chairlift has a Poma top drive instead of a Riblet one.

The lift is the former Burlingame lift from Snowmass, it had been upgraded with a Poma drive from Fanny hill lift when the former was replaced with by the village six. I believe Snowbowl has the old High alpine lift to, though they have not installed it yet.

Arizona Snowbowl Agassiz lift evacuation – In Flagstaff there has been no mention of the evacuation, not in the news, cover up, should have been in local paper. Just that the lift is closed till further notice. I heard currently they are waiting for x ray equipment to diagnose problem.
