Probably something along the lines of: town officials who were not authorized to speak (or commit funding) on behalf of the town. If they were acting as individuals, I agree with you, however if there was even a hint of committing the town, and it hadn’t been approved by the town council, then it’s inappropriate (or possibly illegal).

I hope we get some glass terminal designs with the new LPOA models.

We will see.
We responded to a survey they sent out to maintenance departments that basically asked what mechanics liked and didn’t like about the LPA terminals. Reading the press release I get the sense that they’re trying to make the terminals more maintenance-friendly more than changing the aesthetic. They did name-drop Pinnafarina, though, and Leitner in Europe partnered with them to design their latest lifts.

The Ober Mountain/Gatlinburg reminds me of how odd it is that german is so foreign to modern americans, while a 100 years ago, it was the most spoken language by far besides english.
Then WW1 happened, everyone was taught to hate the kraut, and german-americans assimilated.
