Yes but it was delayed due to weather. Sounds like the new triple isn’t quite ready yet but the Blue chair will be open tomorrow.

What could be wrong with the porkies chair that it has to shut down for over a week, since they only run it on the weekend couldn’t it be possible to inspect it on one of the weekdays?

I asked and received this explanation from the Park Supervisor: “Gogebic Community College (GCC ) who operates the ski hill, had their normal annual LARA inspection completed in early December. There was a notice for repair issued, according to GCC the repair was completed and proper paper work submitted per guidelines but we received a notice late Wednesday to cease operations. Jim Vanderspoel (GCC) has been in contact with Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) to clear things up but they are requiring a load test be conducted due to the change in programing to the drive motors. Therefore the ski hill will be temporarily shut down to conduct the load test. We are hoping just for this weekend as the inspector plans to be here Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.”
