Three high profile disasters on Russian ropeways in the past year. Maybe you shouldn’t build a country out of oligarchy and corruption.

So what exactly is the point of the second lift in No Name Basin? Doesn’t seem to serve much. Also, is Monarch seeking to replace all the existing lifts? Pioneer seems too new to replace yet.

Seems weird that Aspen Ski Co didn’t donate Little Nell to Howelsen Hill, Colorado or another non-profit like Whaleback, New Hampshire. That lift barely ran so it has low hours.

It is good to see possible lift network improvements soon. I have always thought Garfield would be a good lift to upgrade to high speed. Hopefully during that change the traverse could be improved to access No Name (the run), Lobo, and the other front side runs without the awkward climb behind the lift shack. If Garfield was high speed, I doubt anyone would ride Pioneer anymore so maybe it could be used as that second lift in No Name Basin or to upgrade Tumbelina. Pano would be a great upgrade for phase 2. With those two lifts upgraded, the “Divide Express ” might not be necessary. It will be interesting to see what happens.
