It sucks for the workers building but they will get the job done. The webcam shows the top station has a roof on it at least. The operator house not so much.

I wonder what the factors are to use diesel as a primary for a lift. It seems like it would be much more cost efficient to run power lines initially vs. transporting diesel fuel by helicopter every year. How remote is polar peak?

Polar Peak is very remote with no other lifts in the same drainage. Plus Fernie has some crazy avalanche paths. Lost Trail in MT/ID does something similar with generator sheds adjacent to each lift. At least theirs can be refilled by truck in the summer though.
