Re: Bear Mountain; is there a concensus on the pros and cons with a conveyor belt?

No consensus. Personally I love the latest ones for reducing beginner misloads and on fixed-grip lifts. Big Sky’s fully-loaded D-Lines and Challenger prove their value.

I can’t wait to see a more detailed map to Deer Valley, mostly so I can see how well my father will do on the new trails.

I know that Doppelmayr’s done high speed quads with six pack line gauge can be found here and there (Snowbird notably has two with Little Cloud and Peruvian). Sublette would be the first time I’ve seen Leitner-Poma do this.

I believe American Flyer at Copper has a loading conveyor.

I looked at it and I think it only has a gate, not a conveyor.

American Flyer never had one.
The Colorado SuperChair did used to have a carpet until a couple seasons ago.

The Flyer never had a conveyor. Both versions had load gates, but in both instances they proved worthless so they became spare parts.

Did some research and found that the only other LPA 6 pack to get a conveyor was Colorado at Breckenridge. Since Breckenridge removed the loading conveyor from the lift Midway will now be the only LPA 6 pack with a loading conveyor.

The Swoosh will live on, at least here. I’ve made it a point to either touch up or completely add on a logo to every Poma I’ve worked on. The only exceptions have been our new LPOAs. While I understand rebranding, sometimes the original is still the best.
