Everything was in pretty rough shape so it likely went to scrap. Some of the cabins that were not too badly vandalized might sell to private parties.

not surprised about mission ridge chair 4. I used to coach special Olympics ski racing on that chair during the state games. I’ve never been on a chairlift that swung and bounced as much as that one. It was always a major concern for the participants. I know a lot of people like the old riblets but maybe it’s time to retire them and install skytracs. Cue the Riblet defenders…..

    Lol, Vail……

I know everyone has been bashing them with all of the lift maintenance issues and accidents this year…but seriously, I feel like they’re kind of asking for it at this point. I’m just happy to hear (and a bit surprised) that the piece of glass didn’t fall on a skier / rider below…

You can add Pioneer lift at Park City which has been accruing 100% downtime since its usual opening day around December 15-20.

      Epic!!!!

Not really. Supposedly the issue there is because of a tower fault, which could mean they will have to wait until summer to address it further. Could mean they have to remove the tower and put in a new foundation and yadda yadda.

Nope, tower is fine, issue is inside the motor room :)

Please share what you know, (and are able to share) it will be helpful to those curious. Last we heard it was a tower fault discovered last year and that was it. Not surprised this got put on the back burner though for repairs.

There is no info on why this happened. Moderate application of a ski boot is enough to push a window out. Or pop it enough that it falls out later.
